Starting StarCraft II

Starcraft 2 is the sequel to the very popular original StarCraft game. The original game was released by Blizzard in 1998. Both games are made for the PC. In May 2007, Blizzard had announced its plans to develop a sequel to its ever popular game. The new game will be compatible with windows xp, windows vista, and Max OS x. The released has been set for July 27, 2010, however, players can check out the game now with the StarCrafts Beta Testing. All pre-orders will get a free beta key with purchase.

The sequel to StarCraft 1 is meant to exceed all expectations of its predecessor. It will feature three races of Terrans, Protoss, and Zergs. You will not have to relearn any new or additional races as of yet. SC2 is designed to be much more user-friendly for multiple players. Some new features include: a ladder system for ranking in the game, PVP, an improved replay function which you can record the game to review later, and much more.

There are some differences in the single player mode. The original game had the briefing room, StarCraft 2 will have an interactive version of the battlecruiser Hyperion. The campaigns are no-linear, so the Raynor can take jobs for money. The end-game will stay the same however. Zerg and Protoss campaigns will also be different from the Terrans Campaign.

More to come.
