Blizzard to take Starcraft 2 to Console?

There has been alot of rumors floating around about Blizzard taking their beloved game to the console arena. What does this mean to the gamers? You could trade in your mouse and keyboard for a console controller. This would also spark the old debate of which is better… Console or PC?

A recent interview with Blizzard’s Lead Designer has set some of these rumors straight.

According to Blizzard’s Lead designer, Chris Sigaty…

“Console is not on the radar for us right now, but there have been a lot of interesting moves in that direction – taking RTS to consoles – and there’s been some pretty cool things on the control side. I still think that at least from our perspective it feels like the mouse and keyboard just lends itself to this style – but you know we’re getting closer and closer all the time. So when we see that optimum moment I think it’s certainly possible that we’ll explore that junction as well. It’s just not on the radar  right now. The possibilities are there and it is hopeful that Blizzard has not ruled this out. For now we will have to rely on our good ole mouse and keyboard the game. StarCraft 2 is still setting up to be the hit for this years gaming.  StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty is set to arrive on July 27, 2010.
